EDU 528 - Educational Governance and Professional Ethics 3 credit hours This course provides students with knowledge of the organization and governance of U.S. education. Included are the study of political systems and their impact on public schools; historical antecedents and their influence on democratic values; and the study of the major education philosophies and their impact on curriculum. Current education issues and trends are presented. The program of study examines the legal rights and responsibilities of students and teachers, with a focus on the professional code of ethics and the responsibilities of teachers.
