CRJ 552 - Criminal Advocacy and Judicial Procedure 3 credit hours This course is the step-by-step study of the process of a criminal case, from the preliminary hearing to the sentencing hearing, including an in-depth study of the rules of evidence and motions. Students will be asked to examine hypothetical criminal cases from both the prosecution and defense stand points. Additionally, students will be asked to become familiar with case law that has historically affected each of these processes and which have shaped our criminal justice system to the way it is structured today.
