THY 535 - Introduction to Black Theology

3 credit hours
This course is an introduction to Black Theology as an academic discipline. The course will challenge students to explore the origins, nature, and method of Black theology and the influence and legacy Black Theology has on the Black Catholic Church. Attention will also be given to the way Black Theology is both utilized and critiqued inside and outside of the African American theological Community by the "Womanist Theology" and other liberation movements or figures.
