EGN 330 - Mechanics of Materials 3 credits Prerequisite(s): MAT 152 or higher and PHY 221 This course conveys the theory of material behavior under design loads and the implementation of materials to meet engineering design requirements. Emphasis is placed on stress, strain, torsion, shear, bending, combined loads, and a material's response to these loads. In addition, a primer of material science will introduce the student to design and analysis of material requirements.
