POL 303 - Media Politics

3 credits
This course is designed to introduce students to the place where the world of media and politics intersect.  Special attention will be placed on the transitioning role of media, from the professionalized sources of the 20th century towards the citizen run blogging and microblogging of the 21st.  We will examine questions of perspective, bias, polarization, engagement, and messaging in order to gain a stronger grasp on the question of politics and the media.
