EDU 366 - Play as Pedagogy

3 credits

Developmentally appropriate early childhood programs center on play-based experiences for young children to learn through hands-on activities. This course will focus on ways to promote and develop children's play experiences to foster child-centered learning. Students will design developmentally appropriate play experiences to address the five developmental domains of Florida's Early Learning and Developmental Standards. Students will develop formative and summative assessments to evaluate children's learning through play-based experiences in developmentally appropriate methods.
