EME 330 - Terrorism and Emergency Management 3 credits This course provides an overview of domestic and international terrorism, and how associated threats and risks impact both homeland security and emergency management. The course will examine topics such as terrorist groups and their methods, counter-terrorism measures, critical infrastructure protection, border security issues, as well as legal and political responses to the terrorist threat. Case studies will be used to illustrate the challenges facing all levels of government and the private sector in responding to various terrorist threats, and to identify best practices in the field. The course will emphasize the importance of applying a comprehensive emergency management framework to terrorism.
