ENG 357 - Reading the Environment in Literature and Film

Prerequisite(s): ENG 122  

 
This course explores a variety of literary and cinematic texts with environmental themes. It considers the role of humans and culture within the environment and connects literary studies with environmental ethics and social justice. Students will become familiar with various ecocritical approaches to literature in order to understand the intersections of globalization, gender, race, and class with environmental issues.
