CMM 205 - Oral Communication 3 credits The importance of having oral communication skills in business and other settings today cannot be overstated. In the area of economic, technological, and social change, the ability to communicate effectively in public speaking, presentation, small group, interviewing, and interpersonal setting is a key element of managerial success. This course will prepare students to excel in these areas through the study of theory and the practical application of oral communication principles. By taking this approach, students will understand how, where, when, why, and how such communication serves business and society. It will also allow them to develop their oral communication skills through extensive practice. The core values of excellence and personal development will serve as a cornerstone for this course. Offered fall semester.
