ENG 310 - Social Media Communications 3 credits Prerequisite(s): ENG 122 This course exposes students to social media platforms and their application in the digital world. Students gain practical experience while developing insights into social media that can be taken into their professional careers. Through case studies, out-of-class exercises, and discussions, students develop skills to connect company needs and objectives to social media strategy, platforms, and tactics. Topics include appropriate platforms, creating effective and engaging social media content, content management, social listening, policy, and ethics. Students are provided first-hand experience in creating content on real-world social media platforms.
