IDS 315 - Medicine and Embodiment 3 credits This course is an interdisciplinary study of the body as it has been portrayed in the visual, literary, and performed arts. Through its focus on embodiment in the arts, this course will offer opportunities to analyze such topics as Addiction, Disability, Epidemics, and Trauma. Of further interest is understanding how ill health, interpreted artistically, exposes issues of class, race, gender, and national identity.
