EME 201 - Principles and Practices of Emergency Management

3 credits
An examination of the principles and practices of emergency management, to include the history and evolution of the profession.  Students will explore the nature and organization of emergency management systems in the public and private sectors and understand the various phases of emergency management.  The course will also examine the political issues and legal framework impacting the field, as well as existing relationships between local, State, and federal governments and agencies.
