The tourism and hospitality industry is the world’s largest industry as well as the second largest employer. This is a growing career filed with countless opportunities domestically as well as internationally. The International Tourism and Hospitality Management major links academic preparation and required internships, providing the ability to apply classroom knowledge to an industry setting.
The curriculum is designed to prepare students for a broad range of roles in the hospitality and tourism industry such as hotel & resort management, restaurant management, event management and tourism management. The combined liberal arts and management foundation approach, includes a heavy international emphasis. This unique program provides a comprehensive set of business skills and offers SLU students the opportunity to distinguish themselves as managers capable of growing with a company, fostering change, and developing a global perspective
