Veteran Studies Minor
Return to: College of Arts and Sciences
The Veteran Studies minor provides Veteran and non-veteran students the opportunity to examine the human experience and impact of military conflict throughout history and in diverse cultures while developing a strong foundation in research and written and verbal skills. Of particular focus in this interdisciplinary program is how the Veteran identity emerges from military structure, camaraderie, combat, unique health concerns, and experiences after service. This minor is an excellent complement to majors in English, History, Medical Humanities, Political Science, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Sociology, and Human Services. This minor is open to both Veteran and non-veteran students.
