Curriculum
The Master of Education with a concentration in Educational Leadership prepares educators who hold a valid teaching certificate to lead an educational institution, emphasizing the core knowledge and skills required to fully participate in educational governance at the school, district, and community level.
The curriculum is aligned with the national Professional Standards for Educational Leaders. Coursework in this program emphasizes three core areas of study: instructional leadership, school operations, and school leadership. The 30 credit hour program may be completed in as little as 12-18 months online.
Candidates must pass the required Florida educational leadership certification to gain eligibility for degree conferral for the Florida State approved program. Students in the multistate program will take the test in their respective state after degree conferral.
Our students find success as vice principals, principals, and administrators in school districts.
It is the responsibility of the student to contact the Department of Education for their state to verify that their state will accept the coursework from Saint Leo.
