Doctor of Education Ed.D. - Higher Education Concentration

The goals and objectives of this program is to provide courses in higher education content areas that support leaders in colleges and universities. Students would be able to identify community college, private or public universities as an area of focused work.
Graduates of the Ed.D. program with higher education concentration will develop a strong commitment and knowledge base of higher education leadership skills. The curriculum will support the following student outcomes.
Graduates will be able to:
- Demonstrate abilities to complete applied research strategies to improve student outcomes
- Lead IHE and manage change processes through data informed decision making
- Facilitate successful teams of stakeholders through inquiry and research that sustain school and student success
- Develop research-based school cultures supporting successful student outcomes
- Identify needs, implement programs to address needs and be able to sustain positive change based on data collection, analysis and research
- Identify key components of student affairs, finance and budget for IHE, policy and governance, student retention and program components for sustainability and expansion.
