ENG 119 - Composition for Advanced Speakers of Other Languages

3 credits
Prerequisite(s): Passing grade in ENG 118 - Composition for Speakers of Other Languages  but unsatisfactory English Placement test
This course is designed to support the academic writing skills development of advanced learners of English; it aims to remedy the specific problems these learners have through systematic introduction and practice of grammar and rhetoric features of academic English. The course is a preparation for ENG 121: Academic Writing I and is required for all Bridge Program students who received a passing ENG 118 grade but did not receive a passing score on the University English Placement Test (administered as part of the final exam for ENG 118) and for non-native speakers who do not receive a passing grade on their English Placement test.
