The Communication major with the proposed three tracks will exploit the current popularity of a communication major with an applied nature as well as reflects the future of the industry. The major will train students to use communication for organizations in a variety of ways, for example, to create messages and engage audiences. The three tracks are Communication Studies, Digital Communication, and Digital Media Influencers.
The first track captures general communication majors. The Digital Communication track appeals to students interested in the technical aspects of producing content such as video and audio editing or graphic design. The third track, Digital Media Influencers, will focus on content creation, distribution, promotion and monetization. Our program will teach the theory and practice using industry standard software and tools.
