Return to: College of Education and Social Services
There is a high demand for human services professionals. The Human Services minor provides an opportunity for students in other majors to learn more about the roles, helping skills and functions that are needed when working as a generalist with diverse populations. This minor will help students from a variety of disciplines (religion, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, general business, etc.,) understand human growth and development; the impact of social policy on society, individuals, and families; the introduction of administrative processes at the non-profit agency or government office; as well as social and structural change through advocation and intervention. A minor in human services, will provide students with the knowledge to help others achieve their maximum potential.
